Vegetarian? Dukan Diet Is Still For You!

Given that Dukan Diet is very high in protein and puts and emphasis on meats many people think they can’t do the diet and be vegetarian. Here are some ways to make Dukan Diet work for you so you can lose weight without giving up your meatless lifestyle. There are many variations of non-meat eater’s vegans, pescetarians, raw vegans etc… Here is the guide for those who are Lacto-Ovo Vegetarians – skip the meat but still will eat eggs & dairy. Adjust to your guidelines as you see fit!

Attack Phase:

First and foremost stay healthy. We recommend taking a multi-vitamin with iron to make sure you don’t lose energy as you lose weight.

Enjoy some Tofu based dishes and mix in some Quorn. Also we recommend egg based dishes with extra egg weights for the protein boost your body craves. Now is the best time to be a vegetarian there are so many soy products available at your local grocer we doubt you’ll find yourself hungry!

Cruise Phase:

This phase was made for vegetarians with the PV days. You can enjoy the same dishes as the attack phase and add some delicious vegetables to the mix. Large salads are the way to go for a satisfying meal that is also diet-friendly. Keep in mind what dressing you choose!

The last two phases (and the rest of your life!)

By now you should have a good recipe book under your belt from the Attack and Cruise phases. You can expand your menu with starchy vegetables that were once absent from the diet. Bring on the beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and more.
